Transmission Mount Bracket Replacement - Left Side for Buick Allure 2008
Removal Procedure
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the VehicleLifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
- Remove the frame. Refer to
Frame Replacement
- Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to
Air Cleaner Resonator Outlet Duct Replacement
- Remove the engine mount strut. Refer to
Engine Mount Strut Replacement
- Slightly lower the engine and transaxle to gain access the transaxle bracket to transaxle mount upper nuts.
- Remove the transaxle bracket to transaxle bolts.
- Remove the transaxle bracket and mount from the vehicle, then remove the mount from the bracket.
Installation Procedure
- Install the mount the transaxle bracket.
- Position the transaxle bracket to the transaxle.
- Hand start the transaxle mount bracket to transaxle bolts.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the transaxle bracket bolts.
Tighten
Start with the forward lower bolt and work clockwise to tighten the transaxle bracket bolts to 95 N·m (70 lb ft).
- Install the transaxle bracket to the transaxle mount upper nuts.
Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 47 N·m (35 lb ft).
- Install the frame. Refer to
Frame Replacement
- Install the engine mount strut. Refer to
Engine Mount Strut Replacement
- Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to
Air Cleaner Resonator Outlet Duct Replacement
- Lower the vehicle.
