Air Mix Actuator Replacement - Driver for Buick Riviera 1998
Removal Procedure
- Remove the instrument panel (IP) assembly. Refer to
Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement
in Instrument Panel, Gauges
and Console.
- Remove the driver air mix actuator retaining screws.
- Remove the electrical connector from the driver air mix actuator.
- Remove the driver air
mix actuator (3).
Installation Procedure
- Install the driver air
mix actuator (3).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the driver
air mix retaining screws.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1.4 N·m (12 lb in).
- Install the electrical connector to the driver air mix actuator.
- Install the instrument panel (IP) assembly. Refer to
Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement
in Instrument Panel, Gauges
and Console.
