Wiper Arm Tip Pressure Check
- Run the wiper arms to
the mid-wipe position.
- Remove the wiper blades from the wiper arms. Refer to
Windshield Wiper Blade Replacement
.
- Attach a scale to the wiper arm where the wiper blade attaches.
Measure the force required to lift the wiper arm perpendicular to the windshield
to normal working height (the height with the wiper blade attached).
- Replace the wiper arm if the measurement is not within the specification.

Tip Pressure
| • | Driver side - 8.1-9.5 Newtons (26-31 oz.) |
| • | Passenger side - 5.8-7.0 Newtons (19-23 oz.) |
Blade Element Check
- Remove the wiper blades
from the wiper arms. Refer to
Windshield Wiper Blade Replacement
.
- Look down the length of the blade element.
- Replace the wiper blade element if the rubber element which contacts
the glass is not on the centerline of the wiper blade +/- 15 degrees.

- Install the wiper blades on the wiper arms. Refer to
