Air Distributor Duct Replacement for Chevrolet Chevy Suburban 4WD - RHD 1998
Removal Procedure
- Roll the instrument panel back. Refer to
Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement
in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.
- Disconnect the lap air outlet duct from the air distributor duct.
- Remove the air distributor duct screws.
- Remove the air distributor duct from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the air distributor duct.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the air distributor duct screws into the vehicle.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1.9 N·m (18 lb in).
- Connect the lap air outlet duct to the air distributor duct.
- Roll the instrument panel forward. Refer to
Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement
in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.
