Oil Pan Removal for Chevrolet Prizm 2001


    Object Number: 236142 Size: SH
  1. Remove the following fasteners from the lower cylinder block:
    2. • The 14 bolts (1, 2, 4-13,15,16)
    • The 2 nuts (3, 14)

    Notice: Do not damage the oil pan contact surface of the lower cylinder block when removing the oil pan.

  2. Carefully remove the engine oil pan.

    3. Object Number: 236146 Size: SH
  3. Remove the following components from the lower cylinder block:
    4. • The 3 bolts (1, 2)
    • The oil strainer
    • The gasket
  4. Clean the following components:
    5. • The inside of the engine oil pan
    • The oil pump strainer screen
    • The mating surfaces of the engine oil pan and the lower cylinder block
