External Component Disassemble for Chevrolet Tahoe - 2WD 1998

1. Use solvent and a stiff brush to clean the exterior of the transfer case.



2. Remove the vehicle speed sensor.



3. Remove the vacuum switch and the O-ring seal.



4. Remove the following components from the case:

4.1.	The detent plug

4.2.	The detent spring

4.3.	The detent plunger
