Rear Brake Rotor Replacement Export
Removal Procedure
Tools Required
J 42450-A Hub Cleaning
Kit
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
in General Information.
- Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to
Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
in
Tires and Wheels.
- Remove the brake caliper
bracket with the brake caliper.
Notice: Do not allow calipers to hang from the flexible hoses. Doing so can
damage the hoses.
- Use a strap or heavy gage wire in order to support the brake caliper
and the brake caliper bracket.
- Remove the brake rotor.
Installation Procedure
- Clean any corrosion from the brake rotor flange.
- Use the J 42450-A
in order to clean the hub flange.
- Install the brake rotor.
- Install the brake caliper
bracket with the brake caliper. Refer to
Rear Brake Caliper Replacement
.
- Install the tire and wheel. Refer to
Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
in
Tires and Wheels.
- Lower the vehicle.
