Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection for Chevrolet Uplander - 4WD 2005

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.

1. Record all presets and theft codes from the radio.
2. Turn off all the lamps and accessories.
3. Turn the ignition OFF.



4. Remove the battery ground (negative) cable (2) from the battery.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.





Important: Clean any existing corrosion from the battery terminal bolt flange and the battery cable end.

1. Install the battery ground (negative) cable (2) to the battery.

Tighten
Tighten the battery terminal bolt to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).

2. Reprogram the radio presets. Refer to Radio Setup .
3. Re-initialize the power sliding doors. Refer to Rear Side Door Actuator Control Module Programming and Setup .
