Exhaust Manifold Pipe Replacement for Isuzu S/T Isuzu - 2WD 2000
Removal Procedure
Caution: Always wear protective goggles and gloves when removing exhaust parts
as falling rust and sharp edges from worn exhaust components could result
in serious personal injury.
Notice: When jacking or lifting the vehicle from the frame side rails, be certain
lift pads do not contact the three-way catalytic converter as damage to the
converter will result.
Notice: Replacement of exhaust system parts must be OEM standard to ensure that
the vehicle operates as designed.
- Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
in General Information.
- Remove the catalytic converter. Refer to
Catalytic Converter Replacement
.
- Remove the exhaust manifold
pipe to manifold flange bolts.
- Remove the exhaust manifold pipe and seal from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the exhaust manifold
pipe and new seal to the vehicle.
- Install the exhaust manifold pipe to manifold flange bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the exhaust manifold pipe to manifold flange bolts to 30 N·m
(22 lb ft).
- Install the catalytic converter. Refer to
Catalytic Converter Replacement
.
- Lower the vehicle.
