Sunroof Drain Hose Replacement Front Drain Hose
Removal Procedure
- Remove the sound insulator panel. Refer to
Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement
in Instrument Panel Gauges and Console.
- Remove the parking brake assembly from the left side hose. Set
the assembly aside. Refer to
Park Brake Lever Assembly Replacement
in Park Brake.
- Remove the hood release cable and handle from the left side hose.
Set the cable and handle aside. Refer to
Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Replacement
in Body Front End.
- Remove the DERM and bracket from the right side hose. Set the
DERM and bracket aside. Refer to
SIR Diagnostic System Check
in SIR.
- Remove the acoustical patch.
- Remove the side upper garnish molding from the window. Refer to
Garnish Molding Replacement - Upper
in Interior
Trim.
- Remove the sunshades. Refer to
Sunroof Sunshade Replacement
.
- Remove the sunroof control switch. Refer to
Assist Handle Replacement
.
- Remove the assist handle from the rail. Refer to
Sunroof Opening Trim Finish Lace Replacement
.
- Remove the sunroof trim lace. Refer to
Sunroof Opening Trim Finish Lace Replacement
.
- Lower the headlining trim
finish panel.
- Remove the sunroof module from the drain hose connection.
- Drain the hose from the sunroof module.
- Cut the drain hose half way up the windshield pillar.
- Connect the bottom of the new drain hose with the top of the old
drain hose, at the windshield pillar. Take a standard sock that fits tightly
in the inside diameter of the drain hose.
- Loosen the sealer by working the hose back and forth.
- Pull the old hose out through the bottom, the new hose should
then be routed correctly.
Installation Procedure
- Install the drain connection
to the sunroof module.
- Install the sunroof opening trim lace. Refer to
Sunroof Opening Trim Finish Lace Replacement
.
- Install the rail front assist handle. Refer to
Assist Handle Replacement
.
- Install the sunroof control switch. Refer to
Sunroof Switch Replacement
.
- Install the sunshades. Refer to
Sunroof Sunshade Replacement
.
- Install the windshield side upper garnish moldings. Refer to
Garnish Molding Replacement - Upper
.
- Install the acoustical patch.
- Install the DERM and the bracket for the right side hose. Refer
to
SIR Diagnostic System Check
in SIR.
- Install the hood release cable and the handle for the left side
hose. Refer to
Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Replacement
in Body Front End.
- Install the parking brake assembly for the left side hose. Refer
to
Park Brake Lever Assembly Replacement
in Park Brake.
- Install the sound insulator panel. Refer to
Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement
in Instrument Panel Gauges and Console.
Sunroof Drain Hose Replacement Rear Drain Hose
Removal Procedure
- Remove the rear seat and the rear seat back. Refer to the following
procedures in Seats.
- Remove the quarter trim panel. Refer to the following procedures
in Interior Trim.
- Remove the headlining
trim finish panel.
- Remove the drain hose connection from the sunroof module.
- Remove the acoustical patch.
- On sedan models (top illustration), remove the rear seat-to-back
window panel. Refer to
Rear Window Trim Panel Replacement
in Body Rear End.
- Pull the trunk trim away in order to gain access to the drain
hose.
- Remove the drain hose from the outlet (1) in the rear compartment.
Installation Procedure
- Install the drain hose
to the outlet (1) in the rear compartment.
- Install the trunk trim.
- On sedan models (top illustration), install the rear seat-to-back
window panel. Refer to
Rear Window Trim Panel Replacement
in Body Rear End.
- Install the acoustical patch.
- Install the drain hose connection to the sunroof module
- Install the headlining trim finish panel.
- Install the quarter trim panel. Refer to the following procedures
in Interior Trim.
- Install the rear seat and the rear seat back. Refer to the following
procedures in Seats.
