  1. Tests if the BCM can enter the On-Board Diagnostic Mode. Refer to On-Board Diagnostic Features .

  2. Tests the presence of DTCs stored in the BCM. Refer to the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List for the appropriate procedure.
